This is my 4th month (4 months and 15 days) old Great Dane and he is very very sick. The vet made a house call on Sunday and told us he ate something he shouldn’t have and his stomach couldn’t digest it. He has some really bad intestinal inflammation. He was given medicine and he couldn’t eat in 24 hours. Come Monday afternoon, he was a little better but at nightfall, he got worse. He would barely move. Tuesday night he crashed again. Tuesday (yesterday, when the pic was taken) was terrible, he wouldn’t open his eyes or wag his tail. I’m at school but I talk to him every day on the phone and he would get so excited sometimes he would accidentally hang up, last night he didn’t even perk an ear. The vet made an emergency house call and gave him more medicine and an IV. He isn’t any better today. He won’t eat, at all and can’t be bothered to move. We now have to feed him baby food through a needleless syringe. He’s all skin and bones now and if he doesn’t eat, he will die.

I know a lot of you will think this is a big deal all over a puppy, over an animal. But he is like a child to me. I met him when he was barely a month old and I adopted him when he was about a month and two weeks old. He’s my baby… and I need him.
RE:To be in health and sickness, things were meant to be this way. Some one else needs him more, as a guardian. Things are meant to be the way they are. I don’t want to see the heart break the puppy will give, just know that if it is his time, it was meant to be that for a reason.
